There is a simple public beach in Argao, Cebu called Mahayahay Beach, which means “Relaxing Beach”. Due to its relaxing breeze and tranquil atmosphere, this long stretch of sand is a favorite hangout spot for locals, especially on holidays and weekends.
A summer getaway like this is ideal for friends and families who are looking for a way to spend quality time together without spending a fortune.
Because you do not need to spend a lot of money on a vacation, especially when you have the right group of people to make the time worth it.

What to Look For in Mahayahay Beach Argao?
A long stretch of fine, pebbly sand greets visitors to this humble place in Argao. Although it lacks white sand, it is still a gorgeous and pristine beach that visitors will enjoy. It is a pleasant experience to swim in shallow waters since there are few or no sharp rocks, making swimming very safe.

Cottage
The cottage we rented cost P400, but there were many available out there. Although we are unaware of the prices of other cottages, they might be cheaper or pricier depending on the area.
The Best Time to Visit
Our trip to Mahayahay Beach was during the weekdays, so there weren’t many people around. If you are like us that hate crowded places, then a weekday is the most ideal time to visit.
How to Get There?
Due to its distance from the highway, it is convenient to travel by car. We actually couldn’t find any vehicles on the highway leading to Mahayahay Beach. Considering we passed by at nearly noon, there is a chance that pedicab or tricycle drivers are resting.
Anyway, you can use Google Maps or Waze to get directions if you are driving by car.
