What is Pasilong Sa Naga?

Pasilong sa Naga trees

Pasilong Sa Naga is a P10.5 million public park designed by world-renowned Cebuano industrial designer Kenneth Cobonpue in collaboration with the local government of Naga, spearheaded by former Mayor Kristine Chiong.

Traveling to Southern Cebu wouldn’t be complete without stopping by the Industrial Hub of Cebu – the City of Naga. With its numerous city attractions, dining spots, and free public spaces, the City of Naga takes pride in its latest addition of tourist attraction dubbed as “Pasilong Sa Naga“.

Literally translates “to find shade in Naga”, Pasilong Sa Naga is an architectural site boasting several large interlocking rings, elevated walkways, fountains, benches, and rest areas in the middle of towering acacia trees that have been standing there for decades.

Designer Conbonpue described the interlocking rings as representations of the circles of life and nature’s way of taking and giving back to the earth.

As Mayor Chiong said,

“This park shall be a place for health and well-being accessible by all. With this park, we want to erase the misconception of people that [the] government is not capable of providing a facility such as this, because through partnership, it can be done. I am so thankful [to] Mr. Kenneth Cobonpue for his dedication and commitment in crafting the park design,”
